Natalie Luckie, Dealership Relationship Manager at Kinetic Advantage, Explains Why Relationships Are Everything in Floorplanning
Natalie Luckie was working in marketing for one of the biggest auctions in the Dallas area when she decided she was ready for a change. “I enjoyed interacting with dealers at the auction, especially on sale days but I started thinking about what I wanted the next phase in my career to look like. I was part of a leadership program and everyone else in my group was working for a floorplan provider.”
“After a few conversations with them, I learned more about the floorplanning industry and what a job being a dealer representative would entail and it aligned exactly with my future career goals. When I told someone in the leadership group that I was interested in transitioning into floorplanning, they recommended I send an application into Kinetic Advantage and that’s how I got my role as a rep for Kinetic.”
Over two years later, Natalie feels that she made the right choice and appreciates working for a floorplan provider that allows her to be so hands-on with her dealers and provides floorplan options that will work for each one’s unique needs.

Over the past 2 years, Natalie says that the number one thing she’s heard from dealers about why they choose Kinetic Advantage versus other floorplan providers is its dedication to ensuring strong communication throughout the company. “I’ve spoken to dealers who have worked with other floorplan companies and a lot of them have gotten frustrated in the past because they couldn’t get a hold of their rep and were sent to someone at corporate who couldn’t answer their questions or assist with a problem they were having because they didn’t have any knowledge of their account. Some of them even considered going back to operating without a floorplan even though liked having the additional cash flow and knew how much easier it was to purchase vehicles at auctions with a floorplan. However, after their first interaction with a Kinetic rep, they knew we were different. Kinetic believes in being very accessible to both our customers as well as internally within the company. For example, I normally talk to our risk department at least 3 times a day and that’s how it is throughout the company. So, I feel confident saying our customers won’t experience that disconnect they get with other floorplan companies.”

Another thing that Natalie says that she thinks sets Kinetic Advantage apart from its competitors is tools like Kinetic 360 and its new subscription service Kinetic+.
“Dealers like to find ways to save time and Kinetic 360 is a user-friendly account management tool that helps them keep track of the status of their floored inventory. I’ve also heard a lot of dealers mention how excited they are about Kinetic+ because it gives them access to One Auction View where they can view cars from multiple auctions all one one screen.”
When it comes to common misconceptions about floorplan companies, Natalie thinks that a lot of it has to do with bad experiences dealers have had with other floorplan providers.
“I’ve heard dealers say that they prefer using cash because they think that getting a floorplan will be too expensive or that they will be suddenly hit with a bunch of unexpected fees or rate increases without warning but that’s what makes Kinetic different. We believe in being transparent and letting our customers know exactly what fees they will be charged. The dealers know that we care about their business and we want them to view us as a valuable partner.”
At the end of the day, Natalie says that it’s the interactions with dealers that makes her love what she does every day.
“Dealers are unique and interesting people that come from so many different backgrounds. I’m a people person so I enjoy learning about what drew them to the independent dealership space. I love helping them grow their business and achieve their goals and in doing so, create a better life for them and their families.”
